Overview

August was one of the busiest months of the year, with a strong mix of entertainment, dining, shopping, and everyday stops. Agua Rancho Mirage dominated the month with several visits, while Luisinis was another major highlight. We also tried several restaurants, including Porto’s Bakery & Cafe, Edoko Sushi, El Asado Mexican Grill, and Los Reyes Salvadorian Food.

Favorites of the Month

Agua Rancho Mirage

The biggest recurring destination in August. With multiple visits throughout the month, Agua continued to be one of our most consistent entertainment favorites of 2025.

Luisinis

Luisinis had two major visits in August and easily earned a spot among the month’s favorites. It was one of the standout dining and entertainment experiences of the month.

Porto’s Bakery & Cafe

Multiple stops on August 26 made Porto’s one of the month’s memorable food destinations. Great for something casual and different from our usual restaurant rotation.

Julia’s Restaurant

A significant dining experience at $1,100, making Julia’s one of the standout restaurant visits toward the end of August.

Edoko Sushi

A nice change of pace to finish the month. Edoko Sushi added Japanese food to an August lineup filled with plenty of variety.

Light Petroleum Food Mart — August 4 — $52.46: A convenient everyday stop during a busy month.

Fiesta Market & Liquor — August 5 — $126.26: A local shopping stop that added to the variety of August transactions.

Apple — August 11 — $294.98: One of the month’s larger shopping purchases.

Desert Dogs — August 25 — $322.50: Another return to this casual local favorite.

El Asado Mexican Grill — August 25 — $85.35: A return visit for Mexican food after making our July favorites.

Porto’s Bakery & Cafe — August 26: Several purchases during the same visit made Porto’s a memorable part of the month.

Apple — August 25 — $9.99: A smaller digital purchase to round out the month’s shopping.

Summary

August 2025 had plenty going on. Agua Rancho Mirage was clearly the month’s most frequent destination, while Luisinis stood out with two major visits. Porto’s, Julia’s and Edoko Sushi brought additional variety to the dining lineup, while returning favorites like Desert Dogs, El Asado and Los Reyes kept some familiar places in the mix.
